We opened our donuts shop with my younger brother, who is a pastry chef, 10 months ago, around May 2022. It is a donuts shop specialised in surgary donuts but we also make salty ones. We have an outdoor seating area on a terrasse and also indoors where we can also enjoy milkshakes, coffee, cold drinks and chocolate.
Our clients usually prefer the chocolate donuts, a classic choice, buy there are also the caramel and salty butter and the lemon pie choices that work very well also.
For the time being, we sell our donuts only at our shop. However, sometimes we do sell them at other places during specific events like the Christmas market or at a Monoprix corner stand.
This year, we hope to open a second, maybe a third donuts shop in the region and also keep organizing specific events in Antibes and in the neighbouring cities.
Before opening the shop, I used to be the director of a big restaurant in Paris and before that, I used to be a croupier in Juan-les-Pins and Cannes for 5, 6 years.
I have always wanted to open a tea shop, a French style coffee shop and my brother being a pastry chef, having done the Ducasse school, it was natural that we embarked on this adventure that is more fun than a classic pastry shop.
What I like the most I think is the contact with the customers and see them say ouah when trying the donuts, that is really nice.
