The story began in 2016, in a former bakery transformed into a welcoming space. With them, Café Brun has found a new energy: that of a couple passionate about food, wine and, above all, the art of hospitality.
Their love affair with the Côte d’Azur began well before they moved. As a child, Ben spent summers with his family around Saint-Tropez, while Béa discovered the South from her relatives’ second home between Millau and Montpellier. But it was in 2011, during a summer season in Cannes, that they tasted the beach-club experience and decided that one day they’d return to settle here.
“We didn’t know Antibes before, but from the first visit we fell in love. The Provençal market, the beaches, the old town… it’s the cultural heart of the Côte d’Azur.”
Café Brun quickly established itself as a convivial spot. The menu, simple and generous, was created to bring people together. Sharing boards take centre stage, alongside reimagined tapas and dishes with a Mediterranean feel.

Their partnership works beautifully because their experience is complementary. Ben, originally from Cardiff, spent years in hospitality in London, managing large teams in renowned establishments. Béa, born in Brighton, focused on marketing and events.
“We always said we’d open a restaurant together one day,” they explain. “We had the dream – and the skill set to make it real.”
Café Brun never sleeps. Open 7 days a week, it moves with the seasons: in winter from 5:30pm to 12:30am; in summer from midday until 2:30am, with the kitchen open at lunch and in the evening. From after-work drinks and apéritif-style evenings to romantic dinners, the place attracts a loyal mix of locals and visitors.
And when asked what still drives them today, the answer is immediate: “We love food, wine and, above all, customer service. That passion is what makes every day unique.”
