We opened the school in June 2016. I work on this since 17 years ago. There are about 4 or 5 types of yoga that we practise here: the soft yoga hatha yoga, then the yin yoga that is more meditative and then as dynamic yoga, we have the ashtanga yoga and some yinyasa. We practice as well the breathing, the pranayama and the meditation of course.
Yam Yoga that has been well thought through before naming the school. Yam is a chakra. We have 7 chakras that is a line actually with energy ways and Yam is the chakra from the heart, there you go, this is why we have chosen Yam Yoga.
The trips to India actually. I have travelled during almost 30 years now to India for different reasons, always in the search of something as well and then the yoga presented to me. I found it coming back from a trip and became interested in it and I never stopped ever since, my life changed from that moment.
The projects, there are many so we are considering organising a yoga retreat soon in Morocco, some days or a week with yoga day and night and with some amusements, visits somewhere else. Next, we are welcoming an Indian teacher, our main Indian teacher who comes since many years, he has not been able to come and now so during the month of June over a period of six days on an intensive course, morning and afternoon and next there are workshops here that are also coming: the theme workshop, the yoga workshop, the meditation sound bath, the Kirtan workshop, they are songs, in fact there are many things going on all the time until the summer at least.
The aspect regarding the transmission of a passion that makes you feel well, of a science that we can call cultural, ancient and that has been tested for the one that finds it on their way. The yoga is a philosophy of life and pass it on to someone else, it is a gift.
My personal background, there has been a before yoga and an after yoga but there have always been trips to Asia and India specially with a search, and inner trip, search for spirituality and India is an ideal place for it and then in the business before as I used to be in the trade of handicrafts import-export activity and when I found after many experiences the yoga, my life completely changed, it is my pillar, it is my reason to live, my support that helps live what everyone lives. The yoga is my solution, my passion above all.
